Great sword for the price beautiful in every way not real sharp but sharp enough recommend this to anybody who wants to get a sword but not pay the high price

This is an awesome weapon. Yes, weapon. This is not a toy or a show piece. This Katana came very sharp and battle ready. A few passes in my ceramic sharpener and it is razor sharp. The details, from the braided silk over sting ray skin hilt to the carbon steel blade are impressive. And I paid about half the price listed on the "Cold Steel" site. Bottom line... If you want a heavy sword that is a SWORD you can't beat this blade.

Full tang Authentic everything including beautiful hamon! I would recommend this blade to anyone looking for a cheap but well made and truly battle ready. I have put this blade through hell and back and it still looks amazing. However I have polished and sharpened along the way I have had this blade for about a year now and it is my favorite. This blade could match just about anything you see a warrior class cold steel katana do. the only thing better than this blade is one that has been deferentially hardened for authenticity but as durability is concerned for most people mono steel is fine, when made of high carbon steel.

I received my Samurai Sword on time and in excellent condition . When I opened the box the first thing I noticed was how heavy it was . This is a real sword not just a prop . It is beautifully made and very sharp.( Very sharp ) . I bought it to hang in my new office so I dont plan on using it , but it is nice to know it is there. Who knows maybe there will be a zombie invasion or at least an over zealous salesman , could be fun .

It's a beautiful, looking sword ! Well crafted, and seems to be very strong. I definitely, would buy another. Be very careful though, blade is very sharp.

I have purchased several katana over the years and this one is legit. It is high quality and made from high grad carbon steal. The katana feels well balanced an is razor sharp. I own a real Japanizes WW2 officer katana that is not even close to the quality of this one. This is a great find

For the price I couldn't be happier with this sword. I debated spending a lot more money and getting a sword with much more pedigree. I'm very glad I decided to take a risk. There is no wobble at all in the sword. The blade is beautiful and for entertainment I went outside and pruned a few trees. The blade worked as well or better than a machete even though it's a thicker blade. If the blade did not bend and it is still very sharp. I was very impressed as I swung very hard.

AWEsome, sturdy, perfect companion, to the Bokken

The sword is relatively well balanced, ever so slightly tip heavy but overall the Katana feels comfortable in my hand and the weight doesn't throw me off. I had some slight difficulty removing the mekugi closest the tsuba but other than that the Katana came apart cleanly for inspection and cleaning.
